AWE Club – English Language KS2 Information

Course Description

Stress-free and easy-going English lessons for upper primary level. Older children are welcome to attend if they need a recap or are working at KS2 level. We teach to ability, not age.

We have a lovely teacher who is very gentle and kind so great for anxious children or those worried by online learning who may need their confidence boosted. Good for preparation before moving on to KS3 level English.

The lesson will cover all the syllabus topics which include the following –

‘Reading, Writing and Speaking’ in the forms of reading and producing newspaper and magazine articles, other informative texts, persuasive writing, biography and autobiography, Grammar tenses, the correct use of Punctuation, Instructive writing, eg, recipes and manuals, word classes, formal and informal writing, reading comprehensions, writing speeches, carrying out discussions, learning about figurative language. Lessons on different types of sentence types, such as complex and compound sentences, sentence fragments, declarative and imperative sentences, amongst others.
