The lovely people at EM Skills have kindly agreed to fund more lessons for Electively Home Educated teens. All costs are covered by the funding including exam fees so there is absolutely no cost to parents! Learners need to attend 9.30am to 3pm for approx 10 weeks.

Start date Monday 21st and 22nd May until end of July (no half term break)

Learners will have the opportunity to gain recognised Functional Skills qualifications for Maths and English. Also included in the course is Customer Services, Employability skills/work skills  – work experience diary.

Each learner must agree to complete 1 or 2 weeks of work experience either 1 day per week or over 1 or 2 weeks at the end of the course.

Each learner will be assessed at the start and will then be able to progress at their own ability level. Exams are taken in the classroom when they are ready to take them so this is great for anxious teens as they will not need to travel to an unfamiliar exam centre or be with strangers. Its all very relaxed and supportive with kind caring teachers.

A refundable deposit required to reserve a place of £50 is required. This will be returned upon completion of course.

Proof of age and address is required such as a passport and National Insurance number if available. Parents will need to attend on Monday morning to complete forms and receive information about the course. We will also need emergency contact details for parents.
